Athletistic/ Others. All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) President Irina Privalova said the organization advocates that current Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) President Stanislav Pozdnyakov be re-elected to his post.
“The ARAF Presidium has decided to appoint Stanislav Alekseevich Pozdnyakov as President of the Russian Olympic Committee,” Privalova was quoted by TASS as saying.
Elections for the President and governing bodies of the ROC will take place on December 20, 2022. Earlier, Pozdnyakov announced his intention to be re-elected for a new term. He has been leading the association since 2018.
