Speed Skating World Champion Ivan Skobrev explained why he loves working at the Angela Plushenko figure skating academy.
Skobrev has been working at the academy as a physical preparation coach since August.
– We have been cooperating with Evgeny Viktorovich since the summer – and very productively. First of all, I do general physical activity: jumping, endurance training, weight training. We work with a group of 10-13 year olds, the guys are very promising – Veronika Zhilina, Sofia Titova, Sofia and Kirill Sarnovsky. Recently they performed very well on skates in Sochi, now they are going to Kazan. There are already some successes, and I attribute this also to the training that is given at the Plushenko Academy.
The program here is very well built. This allows the guys to devote themselves to figure skating all day. Huge parent mates who find time to study, tutoring so school doesn’t miss out. Sport is sport, but knowledge is very important,” Skobrev told .
