Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Many things have changed in our lives this year. In particular, the habit of rooting for Russian skaters at the World Championships at the end of March, and from October to December at the Grand Prix stages, has disappeared. Unfortunately, many athletes from our country have been suspended from international competitions. In particular, we are talking about figure skaters. They cannot compete in the various competitions at European and world level. FFKKR was not helpless in this situation and created the Russian Grand Prix. Behind already two stages of this series. We invite you to remember this.

The first stage took place in Moscow, the capital of Russia, and was called the “Golden Skate of Moscow”. In the women’s singles, Kamila Valieva won, Sofya Akatieva was second and Anastasia Zinina won bronze. In men, Dmitry Aliev became the first, Gleb Lutfullin won silver, Alexander Samarin closed the top three. Natalya Khabibullina and Ilya Knyazhuk unexpectedly won the sports couples contest. They overtook Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov, who came second. Bronze was won by Daria Boyarintseva and Roman Pleshkov. Among the dancing pairs, Annabel Morozov and David Narizhny became the first, Vasilisa Kaganovskaya and Valery Angelopol took second place, Yana Matveishina and Timofey Subbotin closed the top three.

The second stage took place in Sochi. It was called “The Velvet Season”. In women’s individual skating, Adelia Petrosyan became the winner, Sofya Samodelkina took second place, and Alexandra Trusova became only third. In men’s singles skating, Mark Kondratyuk took a landslide victory, Alexei Erokhov was second and Pyotr Gumennik was third. Among sports couples, Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky, as expected, showed the best result, Anastasia Mukhortova and Dmitry Evgeniev came second, Ekaterina Chikmareva and Matvey Yanchenkov closed the top three. In ice dancing, Elizaveta Khudaiberdiyeva and Yegor Bazin won gold, Irina Khavronina and Dario Chirizano took second place, and Alisa Krainyukova and Semyon Netsev came third.

This weekend will host the third stage of the Russian Grand Prix in figure skating. It will be held in Kazan and is called “Idel”. We invite you to read the important information on this subject.

First of all, it should be said who will participate in the competition. Kazan native Kamila Valieva will delight the audience. She has already won the first stage of the Russian Grand Prix and will be looking for another gold medal. In men’s individual skating, the winner of the first stage, Dmitry Aliev, will perform, and Andrey Mozalev, a participant in the European Championship and the Olympics this year, will also take the ice. In pair skating, Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov will try to redeem themselves from what happened in Moscow.
