“Before, I would say that I am sure that they will take out the gold. But now, about such news and such decisions of the Figure Skating Federation, I do not know. I think they will not dare not take that,” Tarasova said.
The award ceremony for the winners and winners of the Olympic team figure skating tournament never took place due to an investigation into Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva. The doping test, taken by Valieva in December 2021, turned out to be positive. As a result of the investigation, Russia could be deprived of gold medals.
The American team won the second place in the team tournament, the Japanese team won the bronze medals.
