“People are more interested in looking at ‘collections’. I think there will be full stands at the Russian Championships ”- Khavronina on figure skating attendance

Figure skater Irina Khavronina speaking with Dario Cirisano in ice dancing, in an interview with , she suggested the reason for the low attendance at the Russian Grand Prix stage in Sochi, and also expressed the hope that the stands would be filled at the national championship in Krasnoyarsk.

At the Sochi competitions, the Khavronin/Chirizano duo took second place, earning 190.87 points from the sum of two rentals. First place was taken by Elizaveta Khudaiberdiyeva and Yegor Bazin (210.98 points). According to unofficial data, the maximum attendance of the competition day at this stage of the Russian Grand Prix was no more than 1,500 spectators.

– Wasn’t it surprising that so few spectators came to Sochi?

– If we compare it with the test skates, then there are really less spectators here. But there were all the “collections”, probably, people are more interested in them. Let’s wait for the Russian championship. I think there will be full stands. Again, there are many figure skating fans in Krasnoyarsk, Khavronina told .

The Russian Figure Skating Championship will be held in Krasnoyarsk from December 20 to 25, 2022.
