Ukrainian chess player Anna Muzychuk and Chinese Lei Tingze played a draw and the third game of the semi-finals of the Candidates Tournament.
In the third meeting, Anna played with white pieces. The chess players agreed to a draw after 40 moves.
The score in the match is 1.5:1.5. The fourth installment will take place on November 5th. This will be the last classical game in the match. In case of a draw on November 6, the opponents will play tie-breaks.
In the 1/4 finals of the Candidates Tournament, Anna defeated Koneru Gumpy (4.5:3.5), and Lei defeated Maria Muzychuk (2.5:1.5).
Recall that the Chinese Ju Wenjun has been the world champion since 2018. The match between Ju Wenjun and the winner of the Candidates Tournament will take place in the summer of 2023.
