BMX rider Fominov: “Evaluating only at Russian level is not so interesting”

Russian BMX rider Nikita Fominov told that he has relationships with colleagues from other countries and would like to test himself in wrestling at the international level.

Fominov became the runner-up in the Russian BMX freestyle championship, which ended on Saturday in Moscow. Earlier in the season, he won the Spartakiad of the strongest.

– I would like to have international competitions. It’s more fun there. BMX is a big family. I want to compete with guys from other teams. And to assess yourself only at the Russian level is not so interesting. Moreover, we are still friends and communicate, I would like to ride together.

We can compete in a neutral status, if the country of the competition does not mind. I hope there will be more chances like this next season, but for now, that’s how it is. We continue to train. Our competition has grown a lot, in this respect we are helping each other to level up,” Fominov told .

– Did the debut in the Olympic program affect this story in any way?

– The Olympics entered our lives so quickly that we are not yet a sport-sport. While we are still a party, family, friends. But we want to bring all that vibe to professional sports. For me, it’s like a lifestyle, the life of an athlete, media reports, shows – all together, everything is fine.
