Kuchuk: After a missed goal, we picked up the pace and put the squeeze on the opponent

Rukh’s mentor noted that the game with Kryvbas was for six points

Main coach Rukh Leonid Kuchuk was satisfied with the team’s performance after conceding a goal in the match against Kryvbas (2:1).

“After such a game, I can only thank my team. It was a very difficult match for us. We didn’t play for two weeks, but at the same time, some of our players have a very busy schedule, on Wednesday they played an important match in the UEFA Youth League. Therefore, we had certain problems with the composition.

“Yes, we conceded an early goal from the locker room. However, they immediately made a lot of efforts to correct the situation, significantly increased the pace, this resulted in the speed of transitions, accuracy of passes, created chances, pressed the opponents to their gates – and put the squeeze on. And the ending – a red card, the second yellow card … It was already necessary to keep the score, try not to lose the victory, but win, because this game was for six points.

“Before the game, the guys gathered in the locker room and said: Mark, you will be the captain of the team. They did it themselves. At the same time, Yuri Pankiv became the initiator of Sapugu being elected captain. Yes, it’s a shame that the captain was removed from the field. But he was a real captain!

It’s very good when the team gathers itself and instructs a 19-year-old boy to become the captain. It is this trust that helped us win today.”

In the match of the 11th round, Kryvbas opened the scoring, but the yellow-blacks bounced back within 10 minutes and took the lead. In the 76th minute, Rukh remained in the minority – Sapuga received a red card. Kuchuk’s team managed to hold back Kryvbas and won.

Rukh scored 11 points and moved up to tenth place in the Premier League. In the next round, the team of Kuchuk on November 10 will play a derby with FC Lviv.
