Barcelona in the minority got a strong-willed victory over Osasuna

Xavi’s team extend their lead over Real Madrid to five points

Barcelona won a decisive victory over Osasuna (2:1) in the away match of the 14th round Spanish Championship.

Osasuna took the lead in the 6th minute of the meeting after an accurate shot by David Garcia. In the middle of the first half, Barcelona remained in the minority – the second yellow card was received by Robert Lewandowski.

Ferran Torres equalized before half-time, but the winger’s goal was ruled out for offside. At the beginning of the second half, Barcelona nevertheless bounced back with the efforts of Pedri, and in the 85th minute Rafinha brought the Catalans victory.

Note that at the end of the first half, Gerard Pique received a red card off the field. Recall that the defender, who announced his retirement in early November, was included in the Barcelona squad due to center-back injuries.

The Spanish Championship is on pause due to the 2022 World Cup. The next round of the Examples is scheduled for December 31 – Barcelona will play with Espanyol, and Osasuna – with Real Sociedad.
