The International Federation of Billiards and Snooker allowed athletes from aggressor countries to participate.

The leadership of Ukrainian billiards decided to refuse to participate in the 2022 World Snooker Championship due to the entry of Russian and Belarusian athletes.

This was announced by the Federation of Sports Billiards of Ukraine on its official website.

“The leadership of the Sports Billiards Federation of Ukraine, athletes, judges, coaches do not agree with the decision of WCBS and IBSF. The FSB follows the ban of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine on the participation of athletes of Ukraine in competitions attended by representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus under a neutral flag,” the statement reads. message.

It should be noted that the International Federation of Billiards and Snooker accepted the Russians and Belarusians in the tournament in a neutral status, referring to the decision of the World Confederation of Billiard Sports WCBS on July 15, 2022.

The World Snooker Championship takes place in Turkey and ends on 17 November. The Ukrainian team should be represented by Vladislav Vishnevsky, Julian Boyko and Denis Khmelevsky.
