Beleniuk summoned Gutzeit to debate ahead of NOC presidential election

The Assembly, which will elect a new head, will be held on November 17

Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling and deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Jean Beleniuk summoned the Minister of Youth and Sports to a debate Vadim Gutsait. Belenyuk proposes to hold them on November 13 before the election of the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

“We had a lot of reproaches about our lack of system. Today we presented our program, and the current Minister of Youth and Sports, Vadim Markovich Gutsait, reproached us for being unsystematic. Therefore, now after this presentation of ours, I personally want to call Vadim Markovich to a public debate so that he demonstrates his vision, his program, and discusses our programs. Perhaps he will offer something interesting, that I will say that I am withdrawing my candidacy. Who knows,” the deputy said.

Sergei Bubka will leave the post of NOC President in the near future – he will not stand as a candidate for a new presidential term at the reporting and election assembly of the NOC on November 17.

In addition to Belenyuk and Gutzeit, Olympic biathlon champion Elena Bilosyuk (Pidgrushna) and honored coach of Ukraine in freestyle wrestling Igor Malinsky are running for the NOC presidency.

Beleniuk and Gutzeit are considered the main candidates for the presidency of the NOC. It is known that Bubka is going to support Vadim Gutsait in the elections.
