Today, May 18, the Gymnastic Ethics Foundation (GEF) Disciplinary Committee announced that Kulyak has been suspended from competition for one year. During the award ceremony at the World Cup in Doha, the Russian donned a uniform with the letter Z.
“I won’t comment on that,” Kulyak told Match TV.
Kulyak will return the bronze medal from the World Cup in Doha and a cash reward of 500 Swiss francs. Note that the athlete can file an appeal within three weeks.
