Bondar: Using VAR would change the result. The score could have been 4:2 in our favor

Shakhtar failed to beat Zorya in the last match

Miner’s Defender Valery Bondar commented on the draw match of the 13th round of the UPL with Zarya.

“We believed, and the second half showed it: we created many chances and could achieve a positive result, but two episodes affected the overall score – when clean goals are not counted, it is very difficult. The dawn had already set low, and it was hard for us to create chances. Naturally, we tried to find opportunities, but it didn’t lead to a goal.”

“Of course, using the VAR system would have changed the result, these two goals count and the score is already 4-2 in our favor. It would be a completely different game.”

“My position on the right flank of the defense? We are professionals, and the players must play in any position where the coach says. He thought that it would be better for the team, for me. So I’m getting used to this position.”

Shakhtar and Zorya did not reveal the winner in the 13th round of the UPL – 2:2. Bondar scored the Pitmen’s second goal in the match.

Wards of Igor Jovicevich remained in second place and could not close the gap of 5 points from Dnepr-1.

In the next round, Shakhtar and Dnipro-1 will play in a head-to-head match on November 19.
