The double Russian athletics champion suspended for two years for doping

The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) Anti-Doping Rule Violations Preliminary Review Committee has decided to disqualify the two-time Russian discus champion Elena Panova for two years, according to website RUSADA.

1,3-dimethylbutylamine was found in the body of a 35-year-old athlete, Panova’s disqualification period is counted from April 15, 2021.

Panova is the winner of two championships in Russia, she also has the gold of the national team championship and the gold of the 2013 Universiade in Kazan.

Additionally, RUSADA suspended weightlifters Tatiana Popova and Igor Kozyubchenko for six years, and weightlifter Igor Vasilyuk for four years.
