Synchronized swimmer Romashina: “At the Olympics they introduced exactly the program in which the Russian team never played”

Seven-time Olympic synchronized swimming champion Svetlana Romashina told that he does not consider it a coincidence that the program, in which the Russian team has never played, is included in the program of the Olympic Games.

The International Swimming Federation (FINA) has announced that from now on medals at the Olympic Games in synchronized swimming in group competitions will be played according to the results of three programs – acrobatic has been added to free and technical (previously – high point, approx. “TV Match”).

– The load will be increased and very strongly, for the duo it will increase even more. On the one hand, it is the popularization of our sport. Perhaps in the future the “highlights” program can replace the technical and free program, it is not excluded – the combined program was so quickly removed from the program of the world championship. It would be more interesting if ten people participated in the highlights, it would be more interesting to support, draw, rebuild.

But here another question arises. The Russian team has never participated in this particular program, and it is the “high point” that is introduced in the program of the Olympic Games. Chance? I don’t think so,” Romashina told .
