Russian figure skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva expressed condolences on the passing of the President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Alexandra Gorshkova .
Gorshkov died at the age of 77, we learned on Thursday.
– Today Alexander Gorshkov died … A man with a capital letter, an outstanding athlete. Alexander Georgievich always supported me and knew how to choose the right words. He will be missed by all of us! Rest in peace,” Tuktamysheva wrote on her Telegram channel.
Gorshkov won Olympic gold in ice dancing in tandem with Lyudmila Pakhomova, won the world and European championships six times. He has been leading the FFKKR since 2010.
