Winger Atlético Angel Correa and midfielder for Atlanta United Thiago Almada called up to the national team Argentina on the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

Before the start of the tournament, winger Nicolas Gonzalez and midfielder Joaquin Correa were injured, after which the coaching staff of the Argentina national team decided to replace the application. Players should arrive in Qatar in the next few hours.

Angel Correa has made 21 appearances for Atlético in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist. On account of the 27-year-old winger – 22 fights and three goals for the Argentina national team.

Almada, 21, has played 31 games for Atlanta in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists. The midfielder made his debut in the national team in September, coming on as a substitute in a test match against Honduras (3:0).

Argentina will compete in Group C along with Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland. Scaloni’s team will play their first match on November 22 against Saudi Arabia.
