The Zabeg.RF half-marathon will take place for the 7th time and will unite the whole country – from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad. More than 150,000 runners from all over Russia will take the start. The organizers offer 4 distances to choose from: 1, 5, 10 or 21.1 km. Anyone over the age of 6 can become a member.
— For me, Zabeg.RF is one of our most significant events of the year. When thousands of people leave simultaneously from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad in one minute, I am overwhelmed with pride. In Russia today there are a lot of sports people who support a healthy lifestyle, and from year to year we see that their number is growing. This year we decided to coincide with the beginning of a large-scale holiday, important for all runners – International Running Day, – commented Ksenia Shoigu, head of the Zabeg Half Marathon Organizing Committee. RF.
Distance routes will pass with views of the cities iconic sites. The Zabeg.RF Half Marathon offers a unique opportunity to admire the central streets without cars, to enjoy the legacy of the 2018 World Cup, to spend an active weekend with family and friends, to find people like-minded, going on a running trip, reaching your first official start or setting a personal record.
The traditional battle for the title of running capital of Russia will also take place within the framework of Run.RF. So, in 2017 and 2018 it was Kazan, in 2019 – Vladivostok, in 2020 and 2022 – Nizhny Novgorod, in 2021 – St. Petersburg. The running capital is determined according to three criteria: the average mileage of all participants, the percentage ratio of the participants of the “Zabeg.RF” to the total population of the city, the average running speed of the participants. The winning city receives a Challenge Cup engraved with the winners of previous years from 2017.
For those who will not be able to start on June 4, the organizers have prepared an online race format.
