Gutzeit: I told Shevchenko that Shufrich and Surkis had already written letters to withdraw from the NOC. We agreed to meet next week

Today Andriy Shevchenko resigned from the NOC

Newly elected President of the National Olympic Committee Vadim Gutzeit commented on the situation with the refusal Andriy Shevchenko from office Vice-President of the NOC of Ukraine.

“As for Andriy Shevchenko, we talked with him. He told me and warned me that he had written. But I dialed him later when he published his thoughts on leaving the NOC.”

“I told him that Shufrich and Surkis had already written letters about leaving the NOC. We agreed to meet next week. We will work out how we can continue to work together.”

Recall that Hryhoriy Surkis and Nestor Shufrych will leave the NOC of Ukraine. Their inclusion was opposed by the former head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko and UAF President Andriy Pavelko.

Shevchenko resigned as vice-president of the NOC of Ukraine. And Pavelko announced the suspension of his membership in the NOC.

Recall that yesterday Vadim Gutzeit became the new president of the NOC. Also yesterday, a new composition of members of the NOC of Ukraine was elected. Among them were Grigory Surkis and Nestor Shufrich.
