Double Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Vlad Chigireva won the Russian Cup in Kaliningrad with a new free program.
Chigireva was top with a free skate under Shakira’s Nothing Else Matters, scoring 98.0000 points. Second place was taken by Alina Rumyantseva (92.5333), third – by Diana Kartushina (91.7000).
According to Chigireva “”, this is her first solo performance in over 10 years.
In total for technical and free programs, Rumyantseva became the best (182.5713). Silver belongs to Valeria Popova (179.3334), Alexandra Zavyalova (176.4301) completes the top three.
The technical program mixed pairs competition was won by Artur Korshunov and Alexandra Lyamasova (86.3855). Second place was taken by Zakhar Trofimov / Veronika Svetlova (85.7826), third – Vladimir Pershin / Yaroslava Belova (83.5052).
Anna Andrianova and Valentina Gerasimova won the duet contest (90.4296). Silver was won by Valeria Popova and Adelina Sagitova (88.7794), bronze by Kira Bolonkina and Yulia Samylova (86.4042).
In the men’s solo free skate, Korshunov won (87.5000). The second was Trofimov (85.4667), the third – Pershin (85.0333).
On Saturday, medals were played in the combined program, where the Moscow-1 team won. The second place was taken by the athletes of the St. Petersburg-1 team, the third – by the Moscow-2 team.
