Ecuador confidently beat Qatar thanks to Valencia’s double in the opening match of the 2022 World Cup

Spectators saw a canceled goal, a penalty and a valid goal from the field

national team Ecuador confidently beat Qatar in the opening match World Cup 2022 — 2:0.

The hero of the match was Enner Valencia. At the very beginning of the match, the striker scored a goal, which was canceled due to offside during an assist attack. Then Valencia earned and converted a penalty himself, becoming the author of the first goal in the tournament.

Back in the first half, Enner scored a double, heading Angelo Preciado’s serve. In the second half, Ecuador controlled the course of the fight and calmly brought the match to victory.

The Netherlands will take on Senegal in their second Group A match on 21 November. In the second round, Ecuador will meet with the team of Louis van Gaal, and Qatar – with the Senegalese. Both fights will take place on November 25.
