On November 26, the congress of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland. It will consider the further status of the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in competitions and tournaments.
Also on the agenda is the ratification of the decision of the Executive Committee on the appointment of an interim president of the federation. Recall that earlier FIE was headed by Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov.
In October, Ukrainian saber fencer Olga Kharlan won a silver medal at the FIE Flemish Open tournament, which took place in Ghent, Belgium.
