swimmer Arina Surkova won the 50-meter butterfly at the Russian Short Course Championship, which is held as part of the second stage of the Friendship Games in Kazan.
Surkova clocked 24.84 seconds, setting a Russian record. The second was Anita Grishchenko (25.45), the third – Daria Klepikova (25.69).
Kliment Kolesnikov won the world record in the 50m backstroke (22.11) and also won gold in the 4x50m freestyle relay as part of the Moscow team (Vladislav Grinev, Petr Zhikharev, Ilya Shevchenko).
Egor Kornev (52.33) and Nika Godun (58.68) became the best in the 100m medley while Alexander Stepanov won gold in the 800m freestyle.
Alexander Obsharov won the 50m freestyle (21.21). In the 4×200 freestyle relay race, the Moscow team became the best.
