Zorya lost points in the match with Minai
Main coach Zari Patrick van Leeuwen commented on the outcome of the match with Minay in the 15th round Ukrainian Premier League (1:1).
“Today was not football weather at all, the field was covered with snow and this only added to the challenge. It didn’t allow us to play our football.”
“We didn’t score in the first half, but converted one of our chances in the second half. And then in the last minutes we get a goal from a clean offside position. The arbitrators overlooked this moment. But in general, we have to convert our chances, score more so that even such offside balls do not ruin our score.”
“It often happens that if we don’t score in the first half, then the second half doesn’t go very smoothly. I made substitutions depending on whether I was satisfied with the actions of the players in the episodes of the game or not.
After this match, Zorya’s assets became 27 points, and the Lugansk team returned to third place in the table, beating Dynamo in additional indicators. Minay, who finished the year with a series of three matches without defeat, goes to the break in 11th place and 14 points in the asset.
The teams will play their next matches in the spring. Both are visiting. Zorya will play Vorskla, and Minai will play Lvov.
