The Ukrainian turned out to be heavier than the French
WBO International Lightweight Champion Denis Berinchyk (16-0, 9 KOs) and EBU title holder French Ivan Mendy (47-5-1, 22 KOs) on the eve of the unification bout, they held a weigh-in ceremony.
The Ukrainian boxer turned out to be heavier than his opponent. Berinchyk’s weight was 61.12 kg. The Mendy indicator is slightly less – 61.06 kg.
The duel between Berinchyk and Mendy will take place on the undercard of the meeting between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora. The fight will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 3rd.
Recall that from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, Berinchik was in the ranks of the territorial defense. The 34-year-old Ukrainian last fought in December 2021, when he defeated Russian Isa Chaniev by unanimous decision.
