The New Zealander believes that it will not be possible to outbox Tyson in a protracted fight
Former New Zealand World Champion Joseph Parker believes the British heavyweight Derek Chisora will be able to defeat the WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury only in case of a knockout in the first rounds of the fight.
“There is only one way Chisora can win this fight and he has to put it on him right now. You can’t sit back and go out of your way to outbox someone like Tyson because he’s a technical boxer and a good fighter, so you just have to give him everything you have.”
“If Derek catches him or knocks him out and wins the fight, that would be awesome. It will be one of the biggest sensations.
But Tyson has a lot of experience, he has already faced a similar situation before. He thinks well in the ring and picks punches. It has a very good motor.”
Fury and Chisora will meet on December 3 in London. This will be the third face-to-face fight between Derek and Tyson. Before that, the Gypsy King defeated Chisora twice – in 2011 and 2014.
At the weigh-in ceremony, Fury was heavier than his opponent by more than three kilograms. The weight of the Gypsy King is 121.85 kg, while Chisora showed a result of 118.22 kg.
On the undercard of the fight between Fury and Chisora, there will be a duel between Ukrainian champion Denis Berinchyk and Frenchman Ivan Mendy. The evening of boxing will be shown by the MEGOGO media service.
