Russian Sergey Perelygin won the Spartan Race World Championship in obstacle course, which takes place in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
Alisa Petrova took third place in the women’s competition. Both athletes competed in the Super format (over 10 km and 25 km of obstacles).
– Today the continuation of last year unfolded – the fight with Canadian Ryan Atkins from the first meters. They pushed each other again. Towards the end of the race I thought if it wasn’t today then maybe never. After all, I’ve come a long way already and, you might say, I’ve had a second chance. Today I really gave it my all and gave it my all, including the preparation. Happy to make my dream come true! Guys, believe in yourself, in your dream. Everything is doable! Everything becomes reality, – the press service of the Russian Obstacle Race Federation quoted Perelygin as saying.
The world championship takes place from December 2 to 4.
