Head Coach of the Russian National Synchronized Swimming Team Tatiana Pokrovskaya said that it would be interesting for the team from a sporting point of view to travel to compete in the Asian federation.
FINA board member Vladimir Salnikov told on Monday that Russian water sports have a chance to move to the Asian federation, but the question of status remains open. An appeal was also sent to the Asian confederation on the possibility of Russian participation in tournaments under its auspices.
– It would be interesting for us to perform in Asia, and not only from the point of view of the opportunity to perform. But also from the point of view that our main rivals come from China and Japan. Will they just want to see us as competitors there? But instead of Europe it would be a good option, Pokrovskaya told .
