Ex-coach Furia Rohi said goodbye to the fans
Former head coach of Spain Luis Enrique wrote an open letter to the fans. In it, he urged to support the new mentor Fury Rohi Luis de la Fuente.
“It all started 4 years ago, and how quickly time has flown by. I am grateful to those who invited me, to all the employees with whom we shared our experience.
Thanks to the players who were exemplary in their behavior. And also to all the assistants who worked with the players and all the technical staff.”
“Last but not least, to the fans who have always supported us at all times and especially in the most crucial moments. It’s time to say goodbye and in these cases just a little reflection… What the national team needs is support in all its senses so that Luis de la Fuente can achieve all his goals. Forward, Spain.”
Luis Enrique left the national team, which he led since 2018. Under his leadership, the team reached the Final Four of the League of Nations twice, reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020, where they lost in a penalty shootout to England.
At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Spain advanced from the group but lost to Morocco in the round of 16 on penalties.
