Kuleba: Russia has killed 184 Ukrainian athletes since February. And now Bach says that athletes from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus should be treated equally

The IOC wants the athletes of the aggressor countries to come to the 2024 Olympics

Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba criticized the statement of the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach that All athletes must participate in the Paris 2024 Olympics. Including from countries at war.

“Since February, Russia has killed 184 Ukrainian athletes. And now Mr. Bach is quoting Emmanuel Macron, who allegedly said that “sport should not be politicized” and athletes from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus should be treated equally. The use of sport to whitewash war crimes is disgusting.”

Earlier, IOC President Thomas Bach said that French President Emmanuel Macron believes that all athletes should participate in the 2024 Olympics in Paris and “sport should not be politicized.”

Recall that the IOC said that the sanctions against athletes from Russia and Belarus will remain in force. The Committee does not intend to remove them during the qualifying competitions for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine continues for the 289th day.
