Kristina Kovaleva condemned the actions and words of the President of the FBU.
Ukrainian biathlete Kristina Kovaleva commented on the words of the President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak that most naturalized biathletes were in Russia when the war began.
Kovaleva published a Facebook post in which she refuted the functionary’s words.
On the first day of the invasion, Brynzak personally brought Russian athletes to the territory of the Russian Federation.
Our biathletes, who are in the unit (National Guard), are offered to make training camps with additional participation in competitions at the personal expense of the athletes. What is going on in this world.
Being a master of sports in biathlon, after 12 years of training and 4 years on the junior team, I thought it was hard to be surprised at something … But you found ways!

Kovaleva also said the Ukrainian biathlon leadership had abandoned the athletes.
“Let the war punish such. If Russia comes to free us, free us from such leaders.
My close friend was in the unit, which at the time of the invasion was brought to Ukraine and left in the west, without any indication of further actions, he had to find himself where and with whom to “wait”.
Interestingly, without even returning home to his mother, he received an order from the leadership to go to the military unit. This country is certainly unbeatable, ”Kovaleva wrote.
Earlier, Brynzak’s words were denied by the captain of the men’s team of the Ukrainian biathlon team Dmitry Pidruchny.
