Alexander Povoroznyuk was sued

The amount of claims is millions of hryvnias, which, in case of victory in the case, will be transferred to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Marvel International Tobacco Group LLC (Lviv Tobacco Factory) filed a lawsuit against the owner and president of Ingulets Alexander Povroznyuk. The reason for the claims was the statements of the latter against one of the co-owners of the company and the honorary president of FC Rukh Grigory Kozlovsky regarding tax evasion and the use of production capacities of other factories closed by law enforcement agencies.

“In November-December 2022, a number of information attacks were carried out against the enterprise and one of its owners in order to discredit our business reputation and harm our activities. For this, both public football functionaries of various levels in Ukraine and anonymous channels for disseminating information, in particular from abroad, were involved,” the company said in an official statement.

“In this regard, we declare with all responsibility that our company operates exclusively within the legal framework of Ukraine, observing all the norms of laws and other regulatory acts, in particular, on the payment of taxes. In 2018, our company paid UAH 2.892 billion. taxes, in 2019 – UAH 3.299 billion, in 2020 – UAH 7.209 billion, in 2021 – UAH 4.099 billion, and in 2022 – UAH 4.709 billion.

It is reported that the amount of the claim is millions of hryvnias, and all of them, if the case is won, will be transferred to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
