Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Olympic medalist in ice dancing Alexander Zhulin explained what he expects from the International Skating Union (ISU) Congress.
“I think they will leave us at ISU as a country, but they will take all competitions away from us. Most likely they will leave us, because the players have been left behind, but that makes no sense without competition. Judging by the way the events are developing, I think they will not be allowed under any statute anywhere to happen,” Zhulin said.
The ISU Congress will be held in Thailand from June 6-10. It is expected that the issue of extending the suspension of Russian skaters from international tournaments or abolishing disqualification will be considered on the first day of the congress – June 6.
