Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Choreographer and producer Ilya Averbukh said Anna Shcherbakova was the best and was not interested in the other nominees for the ISU Most Valuable Skater award.
“All these awards in figure skating are conditional. Anya Shcherbakova is the best, we know that. I don’t mind the rest,” Averbukh was quoted by RIA Novosti Sport.
American Nathan Chen, Japanese Yuma Kagiyama, Japanese Riu Miura and Ryuichi Kihara, French Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Sizeron, Japanese Kaori Sakamoto, Chinese Sui Wenjing/Han Cong and Japanese Shoma Uno will also compete for victory in this category.
The ISU Skating Awards will take place on February 5, 2023.
