Russian swimmers were 0.1 seconds off the European record for the Salnikov Cup mixed relay

russian swimmers Kliment Kolesnikov , Kirill Prigoda , Arina Surkova and Maria Kameneva won the 4 × 50 meter mixed medley relay at the Vladimir Salnikov Cup, which is held in St. Petersburg.

Kolesnikov, Prigoda, Surkova and Kameneva clocked 1 minute 36.11 seconds, 0.1 seconds behind the Italian team that set the European record at the 2022 World Championships in Melbourne. The second was the St. Petersburg team (Pavel Tatarenko, Vladislav Grigoriev, Svetlana Chimrova, Daria Ustinova, 1:40.32), the Belarusian team (Victor Staselovich, Anton Knyshev, Anastasia Kulyashova, Anastasia Shkurdai, 1:40.42) a closed the top 3.

Maria Kameneva updated the Russian record at a distance of 50 meters on the back – 23.34 seconds. The second result was shown by Arina Surkova (23.99), bronze was won by Daria Ustinova (24.38).

Belarusian swimmer Alina Zmushko won the 50m breaststroke (29.69 seconds), Tatyana Belonogoff (29.98) was second, Nika Godun (30.03) took third place.

Anastasia Markova took the lead in the 200m butterfly (2:06.46), Anastasia Kolpakova was second (2:08.27), Daria Lunina (2:13.35) was third.

Anna Chernysheva won the 400m individual medley (4:42.24), Anastasia Sorokina (4:45.82) took second place, Taisiya Kolesnikova (4:46.31) completed the top three.

Anastasia Shkurdai of Belarus won the 200 backstroke (2:02.50), Elizaveta Agapitova (2:06.48) was second and Anastasia Duplinskaya (2:06.50) was third.

Anna Egorova was the best in the 800m freestyle (8:20.52), Margarita Ershova (8:25.10) took second place, Valeria Salamatina took bronze (8:28.67).

The Salnikov Cup will last until December 18.
