‘Cunning and efficient’: Joyce on potential fight with Usyk

The Briton has no doubt that he will succeed in the title fight.

Interim WBO heavyweight champion holder Joe Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) shares his opinion about a possible fight with Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs).

According to the British boxer, the Ukrainian is a very technical and dangerous athlete, but this will not prevent him from winning.

“Usyk is a skilled boxer and I will go after him. It will be an exciting fight because he can take me for all 12 rounds. He showed it against Joshua. However, Anthony did not throw many punches like what I do

With Alexander, you have to be as precise as possible. He sets traps, he’s a very cunning boxer with good footwork who moves his head well and uses a shuttle to avoid punches, so he’s pretty hard to hit. You can have all the power you want, but if you don’t hit the target, it’s pointless.”

“I’m very diverse in punches, many of which will pierce his defense and wear him out. I’m sure that after one moment he won’t be able to fight,” Boxing Scene quotes Joyce as saying.

It was already known who Usyk will fight if the fight with Fury goes ahead.
