France to defend their title
France head coach Didier Deschamps commented on his team’s upcoming match in the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina. The coach stressed that the meeting would be difficult, but interesting.
“We are here in the final. We did our best to prepare well for the game against Argentina. Lionel Scaloni also had some problems; they lost their first match against Saudi Arabia of course, but they are also in the final.”
“I don’t have much anxiety or stress about [финала]. I think when you’re preparing for a game like this, you need to stay focused, stay calm, and in the World Cup final in particular, you have not only the match but also the context around it.”
“Our goal is to win the title. I know that Argentina and many people around the world, maybe some of the French, will hope Messi wins the World Cup, but we will do our best to reach our goal.”
“Being the manager of the French national team has always been the most wonderful experience of my career. I played for France, it was a great achievement, but being a manager for so long is a huge opportunity.”
“I am happy to be the coach of the French national team, but the most important thing is the team, not me, I am at their service. It’s all about the team, not me, I’m not the most important person here. It will not depend on tomorrow’s result, I do not think about it. I’m just focused on making sure we do our best to win the World Cup.”
The final match of the 2022 World Cup between France and Argentina will take place on December 18 at 17:00 Kyiv time. The meeting will be judged by the Polish team of judges headed by Szymon Marciniak.
