The joy of winning the Russian Cup will remain with the team for many years, says the head coach of the women’s volleyball club “Dynamo” (Moscow) Konstantin Ushakov.
On Sunday, Dynamo won the Russian Cup by beating Lokomotiv Kaliningrad 3-0 in the final. The capital team last won the trophy in 2019, when they became Russian champions.
– You can already exhale, emotions are only positive. I am very happy with this victory. It’s a feeling that will stay with us for years to come. We are all united for this victory. Great game, congratulations for the victory to all those who wanted to win, who encouraged us. We took our opponent very seriously in the final, we started this match in a very focused and disciplined way. We really wanted to win. For three years the team didn’t win anything, it took a long time to get to this trophy, and now we’ve been waiting for this victory. Patience and a little effort.
The main thing is that we have endured all the trials that haunted us. Thank you to everyone who has worked, aspired, waited, hoped and done this work. It is not only the players, but also these people, the team staff, who help the players to achieve results,” Ushakov told reporters.
