These funds will be used to restore modern houses in the village of Moshchun, which the Russian army destroyed during the attack on Kyiv.
WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO World Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk donated to a charity platform Newkraine 13.8 million hryvnia.
These funds will completely cover the Newkraine charity fundraiser for the restoration of 10 modern houses in the village of Moshchun, which was destroyed by the Russian army during the attack on Kyiv.
Thanks to the contribution of Oleksandr Usyk, who became the official patron of Newkraine, and the invaluable donations of caring people, about 50 Ukrainians will finally find themselves at home again. The Newkraine platform will provide them with 10 full-fledged, high-quality, ergonomic modular houses, created using European technologies by the best Ukrainian contractors.
“Hi all! I donate to the Newkraine charity platform. I call on all our friends, famous people, business and international foundations to join and support Newkraine! Ukraine needs our help right now!” Usyk stressed in a video message.
The charity platform Newkraine was created by a team of caring Ukrainians to restore the country. Having implemented a large-scale Moshchun project, Newkraine launches the first in Ukraine and the world’s most popular direction of venture philanthropy – the opportunity to invest in enterprises and start-ups aimed at overcoming the consequences of the war. The results of this approach are support for infrastructure and energy, economic independence of the country, successful investments in the future, support for small businesses and the creation of new jobs.
Recently, Usyk and other representatives of UNITED24, including football coach Andriy Shevchenko and tennis player Elina Svitolina, met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Also, the Ukrainian boxer’s fund held an auction together with the QMALL cryptocurrency exchange. The entire proceeds – 500 thousand hryvnia – will be transferred to the humanitarian needs of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Oleksandr Usyk Foundation held a charity evening with a charity auction in the USA. The main lot of the auction was a sculpture of a boxing glove, which was created by the famous Lithuanian sculptor Sigitas Sniras.
Early on the morning of February 24, Russia launched rocket and air strikes on most Ukrainian cities and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war between Russia and Ukraine continues for the 303rd day.
