“I’m in shock” – Tuktamysheva to be the last adult figure skater to win a medal from the Czech Republic

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva spoke about his attitude to the age limit in figure skating, summing up the results of the championship of Russia.

At the tournament, held in Krasnoyarsk, 26-year-old Tuktamysheva won bronze, losing to Sofya Akatieva and Kamila Valieva. Previously, the athlete became the champion of Russia in the 2012/13 season and won silver in the 2014/15 season.

– Who is the last adult figure skater to have won the medals of the Russian championship? I guess? Is it true? I’m shocked, I didn’t even think about it. On a global scale, this does not change anything. You shocked me a bit. It’s probably nice.

Age limit? You can talk about this subject for a long time. There are benefits at a young age and more mature. I don’t have a clear answer.

We will have no rest days. We arrive and start learning our roles in the New Year’s shows. It’s okay. It’s cool to compete with Sofia and Camila, they keep me going. There is also their merit in my career,” Tuktamysheva told a press conference.
