China’s Wang Qiang withdrew from the Australian Major, handing over her seat to Britain’s Harriet Dart
Ukrainian tennis players Katerina Beindl and Dayana Yastremskaya topped the reserve list for getting into the main draw Australian Open 2023.
China’s Wang Qiang withdrew from the Australian Major, and Britain’s Harriet Dart took her place in the main draw. Beindl and Yastremska were second and third in the reserve list, and now they are first in line if one of the participants in the main draw also fails to perform.
Recall that five Ukrainians entered the qualification of the Australian Open-2023. In addition to Beindl and Yastremskaya, Lesya Tsurenko, Daria Snigur and Katarina Zavatskaya are preparing for the selection. Angelina Kalinina and Marta Kostyuk went directly to the main draw.
Qualifying matches will start in Melbourne on January 9th. The main part of the Australian Open 2023 will take place from 16 to 29 January.
