Kryvbas completed the first round in 8th place
Head coach of Kryvbas Yuri Vernidub spoke about the first round of the championship of Ukraine and explained why didn’t he resign after starting failures.
“Honestly, at first it was hard to believe in such a possibility. But, as you can see, the current championship has become a reality. We play football to harm our damned enemy. Let him understand that nothing will stop us. We live, work and thank our Armed Forces of Ukraine for this opportunity. The task of the players is also to please the Ukrainians with their skills. Maybe Kryvbas does not always succeed, but, you see, there are matches that capture the fans of the team from start to finish.”
“Who is the first to congratulate me on a victory, or calms me after a failure? This is the president of the club Konstantin Karamanits. He watches every game live, experiences all the ups and downs with the team. He supported me, reassured me when I doubted myself a little (we could not win in seven starting matches). Konstantin Fedorovich literally said the following: “Yuri Nikolaevich, you know, we completely trust you. We work further. Everything will be fine”. I stayed. We redoubled our efforts and began to win.”
Kryvbas is 8th in the UPL standings with 18 points. The team of Yuriy Vernydub will play its next match in 2023 against Kolos in the 16th round of the Ukrainian Championship.
