The final control match of the Ukrainian national team ended in a draw
Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Alexander Petrakov shared his impressions of yesterday’s bilateral match of the team at the training camp in Slovenia.
The control match ended in a draw (1:1), Roman Yaremchuk and Artem Dovbik scored. The coaching staff did not announce the composition of the teams.
Yesterday’s bilateral match was the last match of Alexander Petrakov’s team on the eve of the game with Scotland in the playoffs of the 202 World Cup qualification, which will be held on June 1 in Glasgow.
“I really liked the way we played. We modeled the game of the Scottish national team a little. One team played according to the scheme 3-5-2, 3-4-3 – something like that. Modeled and standard positions. Fighting draw, I liked it,” Petrakov said.
“The training camp went very well, the guys are great. Everyone did everything, did everything. I’m happy with the fees that are here [в Словении] gone.”
“The mood is fighting. No need to put pressure on them, say something, so as not to overdo it with pressure. The guys understand everything, there are experienced players here, with a name.”
“On May 27, we are recovering, on the 28th – training. On the 29th we will have two training sessions. On the 30th we train in the morning, have lunch and fly to Glasgow.”
Ukraine and Scotland will play in the semifinals of the World Cup qualifying playoffs. The winner of the pair will face Wales in the final on 5 June.
