Former Russian Water Polo Federation, Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation and Russian Diving Federation president Alexei Vlasenko has had his preventive measure changed to house arrest, his lawyer Igor Shurpik told .
– The Meshchansky court in Moscow upheld the defense motion to change the measure of restraint to house arrest. In its second decision, the court returned the case for consideration to the Presnesky court in Moscow at the stage of the preliminary meeting, Shurpik said.
The next court hearing is scheduled for January 2023.
In March 2021, Vlasenko was arrested for large-scale fraud. A case was brought against him under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
