IOC Vice President Mian Found Guilty of Interfering in World Sailing Presidential Election – media

The Vice-President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Ser Mian, has been found guilty of interfering in the election of the President of the International Sailing Federation (World Sailing) in 2020.

According to Inside the Games, after the 2020 World Sailing election, which was won by Chinese Li Quanhai over Dane Kim Andersen, the Dane accused Mian of violating the code of ethics. According to the Dane, the Singaporean “abused his position” and actively tried to remove him from the presidency of World Sailing.

Andersen also filed a complaint, which was received on September 25, 2020, against the chairman of the World Commission on Sailing Ethics, Dieter Neupert.

It should be noted that Mian and Neupert received an official warning and were fined 1,000 euros.
