Russian athlete Panova banned for two years for doping – media

Russian discus thrower Elena Panova received a two-year suspension due to an adverse drug test result taken in 2015, according to Inside the Games.

The athlete’s suspension will be valid until April 2023. Further details are not given in the material.

Panova is 35 years old. She won a silver medal at the Universiade in Kazan (2013), took part in the 2015 World Championship in Beijing. The athlete is a master of sports of the Russian Federation of international class.
