Honored Coach of the USSR in Figure Skating Tatiana Tarasova told that Russian athletes would not end their careers just because they could not participate in international competitions.
In February, the IOC Executive Board recommended that international federations prevent Russians and Belarusians from participating in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine. Many federations followed these recommendations and suspended athletes from Russia and Belarus.
– Can the isolation of world sport become a catalyst that young Russian stars will look for themselves outside of sport?
– I do not think so. I’m sure that won’t happen, Tarasova told .
