Olympic figure skating champion Kamila Valieva recognized as the athlete of 2022 according to Russians, according to the results of a survey by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research (VTsIOM).
7% of respondents voted for Valieva. Second place went to the triple Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Alexander Bolshunov (5%), the third was the hockey player “Washington Capitals” Alexander Ovechkin (four%).
– 2% each named the winners of the Olympic Games in figure skating Anna Shcherbakova and Alexander Trusova. Thus, in the responses of Russians there is a certain bias in favor of figure skaters – a total of 14% named former and current champions of this sport, follows from the results of the study.
