According to VTsIOM, the first place in the poll of Russians for the title of the best athlete in Russia in 2022 was taken by Valieva, 7% of respondents voted for her. The second place was taken by the three-time Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Alexander Bolshunov (5%), the third was Alexander Ovechkin (4%).
– Of course, I agree with this choice. Camila is our daughter, everyone loves figure skating, that’s why they vote for skaters and for her in particular. She suffered this year.
