“We are very worried, this is a sore point for everyone” – Evgenia Medvedeva on the situation with Kostomarov

Double world champion figure skater Eugenie Medvedeva wishes health to the olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov noting that everyone in the figure skating world is worried about him.

Tatyana Navka told on Tuesday that Kostomarov, with whom she won gold medals at the 2006 Olympics in ice dancing, was in intensive care. Later, choreographer Ilya Averbukh said that Kostomarov was transferred to the Kommunarka center. On Friday, the figure skater’s father Sergei Kostomarov told that Roman’s condition is currently stable.

– First of all, I will say that we are all on pins and needles, we are madly worried about the Roma, because the Roma are our very close colleague. Maybe, outwardly, it does not manifest itself in any way for us, but he is a person with whom we spend a lot of time on the ice, at work. We are very worried and are trying to find out the smallest details about his condition. We wish Roman’s family maximum endurance and patience, as well as Roma himself. We are sure he will pull through, he is a strong guy with us. But we are all very worried, it is a sore point for all of us,” Medvedeva told The Championship.

Kostomarov is 45 years old. Together with Navka, he won the gold medal at the 2006 Games, became a double world champion and a triple European champion.
